Knowing how the fans have waited for a possible sequel, David Kirschner, the producer of the 1993 Halloween movie "Hocus Pocus" has finally revealed that he has pitched Disney of a potential TV movie.
Based on a Yahoo! Report, Kirschner stated that Disney did turn down a few years ago the idea of a film sequel yet he remains hopeful for an affirmative answer of a movie from a Disney Channel Original. The original movie featured Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy for the character of The Sanderson Sisters. The movie also starred Thora Birch, Vinessa Shaw and Omri Katz.
Midler, Najimy and Parker have been publicly speaking about their possible return for "Hocus Pocus 2." Midler, the 69 years old singer made some jokes regarding the movie sequel through her Twitter account that goes "Breaking News! The sequel is delayed! Can't find a virgin.", IB Times shared.
In 2013, Midler spoke to Huffington Post and admitted that "Hocus Pocus" was among her favorite films and the whole cast had a number of fun while doing the film. She also added the film was like the idea of a start of a wave where the audience from the kids up to the grown ups are taking part in it. She recalled the great times she shared with the cast, especially with Parker and Najimy.
Previously this week, Parker has talked about the chatters related to the sequel and said that for now, everything about it is nothing more except just an Internet talk and added that it is just the only thing she knows.
