The freemium mobile MMO strategy video game "Clash of Clans" was developed and published by video game company Supercell based in Helsinki, Finland.

There are speculations that the new hero in the upcoming "Clash of Clans" update is Mage.

According to Vine Report, the hero is shown as holding a book in his hand so it may be a strong possibility that Mage may be the new hero.

Game developer Super Cell recently announced at the Clash Con 2015 that "Clash of Clans" will receive a major update soon.

"Clash of Clans" recently revealed in a Facebook post that they are still working on the new update and it will be released in a few weeks. Even though there is no official release date set for this update yet, this post gave rise to speculations that the update can be expected in early December.

After the huge success of the Halloween themed update, fans are still enjoying the reverie of freebies like the Elixir from the Halloween Cauldron and the one gem spell factory boost up. The upcoming update is expected to bring along the new Town Hall Level 11, Gem Mine, New Hero, and other defensive units, according to Game Zone.

The new hero is speculated to be a character from Mage as it can be seen holding a book in his hands. In addition, the barbarian troops will now be upgradable to level 8. This will provide the gamers with a higher HP and also the ability to create a lot more damage for the enemies.

The Gem Mine will generate small amount of gems which will eventually come useful for the players. The defensive unit add on is expected to look like an eagle which will be equipped with a 44 x 44 squared easy maneuvering angle.

David Collaros from Super Cell also shared a few sneak peeks from this update at the Clash Con 2015 event. They also went ahead to host a contest for fan art and announced the winner through Twitter. This event was the first event of its kind.

It brought together the fans of "Clash of Clans" from different countries for the very first time. No other mobile based game is known to have held such a huge event till now.
