A new set of leaked photos provide hints regarding what the BMW i5 will look like.

A considerable amount of leaked patent images may have given the public an insider's peak of what the upcoming BMW concept car will look like.

BMW is yet to confirm whether the leaked images were theirs, but there are speculations claiming that the images are the basis for the upcoming BMW i5.

Previous reports claimed that BMW is planning to add a third car into its popular i-series which is currently comprised of the i3 and i8. Speculations are strong that the new addition will be the i5. According to Clean Technica, there is also a big possibility that the leaked images belongs to a completely different car from BMW.

According to Car Scoops, the new leaked patent images came from a Chinese website. One feature that caught many analysts' attention is the front fascia that is similar to the one found on the two members of the BMW i-series. The side and rear profile of the car also shows sharper lines that led analysts to believe that BMW will opt-in for a classic design. The taillights also feature a thin design and the absence of an exhaust system suggests that the car might go full-electric instead of hybrid.

Although it may sound a bit unconventional for a company like BMW, the leaked images show that the car has wheels that sport a relatively plain design. The size of the car looks like a compact which makes it a perfect fit for the BMW i-series.
