Popular country singer Joey Feek is terminally ill and is spending her last days at home.

Joey Feek of Joey+Rory fame, who revealed in June 2014 that she was suffering from cervical cancer, returned to her home to spend her remaining days.

The country singer announced last month that she was no longer undergoing the painful chemotherapy. Her husband Rory Lee Feek gave a heartbreaking account on his blog, This Life I Live, wherein he updates his fans occasionally how the 40-year-old is spending that the last few days of her life at her home.

Rory Lee took to blog to disclose how his wife suffered unbearable pain at around 4:00 am on Nov. 6, Friday after which she was taken to hospital where she was given a heavy dose of morphine. The guitarist gave a heartbreaking account of how their 20-month-old daughter is helping the ailing singer to lift her spirits during her apparently last days.

"Yesterday I sat her down in front of her mama and they smiled and played and loved each other the way that only mamas and their little ones can," wrote Rory Lee on the blog before disclosing that the mother-daughter duo encounter brought tears to the eyes of those who were present in the hospital at the time.

Rory also mentioned that he will be soon putting a carpet near Joey Martin's hospice bed at home so that she can watch her daughter play. Joey was first diagnosed with cervical cancer in June 2014, about three months after the birth of the couple's daughter who is known to have Down syndrome.

The singer appeared to made a full recovery after the initial treatment. However, the cancer returned again in a more aggressive form and has spread throughout her abdominal region, making her condition terminal, Daily Mail reported.
