Snoop Dogg Launches Own Cannabis Product Line Called ‘Leafs By Snoop’

Rapper and actor Snoop Dogg has announced his own branded line of cannabis products: Leafs By Snoop. The products include tetrahydrocannabinol (THC)-infused edibles, marijuana flowers, and weed concentrates. The products are now on sale in many medical and recreational dispensaries throughout Colorado, which legalized pot smoking and other uses in 2013. They include ones in Denver, also known as the Mile High City.    

Snoop said in a statement that it was a blessing that he could share the products he loves with others. He explained that he had hand-picked all the marijuana products so they were the hottest items on the market. Snoop invited people to visit Colorado and try the merchandise.

In the news release the hip hop artist explained that he was very involved in the development of the cannabis products They include eight strains of flowers that he carefully selected based on their bud structure, aroma, taste, and effect.

Meanwhile, the edibles include handmade, premium chocolate bars infused with activated cannabis oil. Other options include gummies, fruit chews, drops, and peanut butter gems.

Snoop has long been open about his love for hemp. In the past he claimed to smoke 81 blunts per day, and in July 2014 he even stated that he had smoked a pot joint in the White House.

Snoop Dogg is best known as a rapper and his debut album "Doggystyle" was released during 1993. However, he is also an actor, producer, reality TV star, and entrepreneur. In September he launched the pot-centered media company Mary Jane, according to CNN.

In the United States, Colorado is one of four states where it is legal to purchase cannabis. The others are Alaska, Oregon, and Washington.

U.S. public opinion about the legalization of marijuana has shifted greatly since 1969, when only 12 percent supported it. The plant has been decriminalized in 16 states, while medical marijuana is now legal in 23 states, according to CelebStoner.
