There were only two teams who got the spot for the semifinals of the "Heroes of the Storm" World Championship held at the BlizzCon 2015 at the Anaheim Convention Center in California during Blizzard games celebration. Only spots were left for the finals for the very first "Heroes of the Storm" World Championship which will be live streamed beginning at 4p.m. PST (7 pm EST) on Friday.
According to the "Heroes of the Storm" site, the winners of the Americas Championship was Cloud9 after defeating GIA and Team Dignitas has advanced to the BlizzCon 2015 in which they continued to show their strength as being the first semifinalist for Group A of the world Championship. Team YL was saved from eliminations after defeating Team Dignitas and now must face Team GIA to proceed to the next level through a decider match.
In the same report, Natus Vincere, aka Na 'Vi has won the spot in Group B. It was a tough battle against Brave Heart and Team DK in securing a place in the semifinals. According to a report by Score eSports, Na 'Vi is looking the team to beat this year.
For the decider match, Tempo Storm has lost against Team DK and will now face Brave Heart. The winner of the match will then face Team DK for the spot in the semifinals.
Over $700,000 has already been given away to teams during the regional stages up to the World Championship at BlizzCon 2015. The grand prize will reach up to $500,000 wherein the 1st place winner will get $200,000, $120,00 for the 2nd spot and $50,000 each for both 3rd and 4th placer teams.
