'The Legend of Zelda' release date has been postponed until further notice.

A Nintendo Direct presentation on Nov. 12 revealed new footage of "The Legend of Zelda."

"The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD" was announced along with a Wii U Teaser for the "The Legend of Zelda." The video game is still geared for Wii U and will be unveiled in 2016, despite preparations for an earlier target date in 2015.

The Nintendo Direct was the company's first since June and after the passing away of its president Satoru Iwata. The program for the Nintendo Direct included 3DS and Wii U games. It also covered game releases for 2015 and what's in Nintendo's pipeline for 2016.

The "Legend of Zelda" for Wii U release was mentioned at the final briefing by Nintendo Direct. Two weeks ago, Nintendo reportedly listed "The Legend of Zelda" for Wii U as a TBD project. But the confirmed March 2016 release of "The Legend of Zelda" will coincide with the 30th anniversary of the franchise.

Nintendo Direct also shared a brand new image of the game, revealing a link with a hood in an open field. To keep the fanbase at bay until the release, Nintendo announced a remake of its 2006 classic unveiled on GameCube and Wii U video consoles titled the "Twilight Princess."

The "Twilight Princess HD" is accompanied by a new Wolf Link Amiibo while supporting figurines released earlier. These include Toon Link, Zelda, Ganondorf, Shelk and Zelda, according to  Follow News.
