Tech giant Lenovo is preparing to unveil its latest mid-range smartphone, the Vibe X3, at a press event that will take place on Nov. 16.

Previously, the Lenovo Vibe X3 smartphone, which is the successor to last year's model (Vibe X2), had passed through China's Telecommunication Equipment Certification Center (TENAA) in September.

Also known as Lemon X in China, the Lenovo Vibe X3 will sport a 5.5-inch display screen with a 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution, along with an 8 megapixel camera on the front and a 21 megapixel camera on the back accompanied by a dual-LED flash.

The Vibe X3 weighs about 175 grams and measures 154 x 76.4 x 9.4 mm in thickness, according to the TENAA listing. Under the hood, the phone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, along with two Cortex-A57 and four Cortex-A53 cores, 3GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in memory storage, GSM Arena reported.

The internal memory can be expanded via microSD card, according to Android Headlines. In addition, it's still unclear how large the Vibe X3 battery will be. The handset is expected to run on the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop version operating system, and will include a fingerprint sensor as well. As of this time, there's still no word on when the phone will make its way out into the market and how much it will cost.

In comparison with its predecessor, the Vibe X2 sports a smaller 5.0-inch display screen with the same 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution. This device weighs about only 120 grams and measures 140.2 x 68.6 x 7.3 mm in dimensions.

The previous Vibe X2 packs a MediaTek MT6595M processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal memory, and a 2,300 mAh battery. Also, this phone has a 13 megapixel rear-facing camera and a 5 megapixel front-facing camera.
