Top teams Uruguay (2-1-0, 6 points) and Chile (2-0-1, 7 points) square off at the Estadio Centenario in Montevideo for a Matchday 4 contest in the CONMEBOL 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers this Tuesday, November 17. Both teams are coming off tough matchups in their Matchday 3 outings last Friday.

Uruguay dropped their first game in the qualifiers to surprise squad Ecuador, 1-2, at the Estadio Olímpico Atahualpa in Quito on November 12th to settle for 6 points and the no. 3 spot in the overall standings so far, via Bleacher Report.

Ecuadorian striker Felipe Caicedo opened the scoring at the 23rd-minute mark while Uruguay's star striker Edinson Cavani, who also plays for Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain, equalized the count at the 49th.

Ten minutes later, Caicedo's teammate and fellow forward Fidel Martinez found the back of Fernando Muslera's net to deny Los Charrúas a chance at the top spot of the tournament table.

Meanwhile, 2015 Copa America champions Chile were dragged by the James Rodríguez-led Colombia to a 1-1 draw at the Estadio Nacional Julio Martínez Prádanos in Santiago to settle for one point in the standings, as per ESPN.

Bayern Munich midfielder Arturo Vidal drew first blood one minute before halftime to give Jorge Sampaoli's men the upper hand entering the break, but Real Madrid winger Rodríguez tied the count at the 67th to salvage the point for Los Cafeteros.

Chile is expected to bounce back with a vengeance in this game versus Uruguay at their hometown of Santiago on Tuesday.

The predicted result is a 2-0 victory for Chile.
