The latest College basketball recruiting news has Kentucky taking De'Aaron Fox.

Fox is arguably the best point guard in the 2016 class and is ranked 7th in the ESPN 100. He is the highest ranked recruit for John Calipari in the 2016 Class.

According to ESPN, Fox chose Kentucky because he was impressed by the long line of point guards that John Calipari has developed. The list includes Derrick Rose from the Memphis days, then John Wall, Eric Bledsoe, Brandon Knight and current Wildcats Tyler Ulis and Isaiah Briscoe.

Fox is long, lean and also a lefty who thrives in transition play, so he will be right at home with Calipari's system.

While Kentucky is still in the running for other players like Malik Monk and a longshot for Josh Jackson, the title of top recruiting class seems to be safely in the hands of the Duke Blue Devils.

Both ESPN and Yahoo Sports believe that Duke has cornered the no.1 spot with Harry Giles signing. Giles and Tatum are ESPN's top two players for the class and Frank Jackson at no.14 and Javin DeLaurier (40) did not hurt their cause either.

Yahoo mentioned some factors that pushed Coach K and the Blue Devils to grab the reputation of being the elite college one-and-done destination (aside from being the defending champions, of course).

Coach K's position as Team USA's basketball coach was previously blamed for Duke striking out on some big names (John Wall, Harrison Barnes and Shabazz Muhammad, all no.1 recruits at some point). Now, with the program becoming stronger with every competition, it is now Coach K's big draw.

There is also in-state rival North Carolina, who used to recruit better than Duke, getting involved in an academic fraud scandal and Kentucky failing to win the national championship last season despite having assembling the most talented team.
