‘Bleach’ Anime Update: Is It Really Coming Back? Series Designer Answers! Will Manga Really End in 2015?

Bleach is a manga created by mangaka Tite Kubo.

The 'Bleach' Anime ended its run on March 2012 while the manga continued.

Bleach fans around the world have been asking about when (or if) the anime will ever be revived. They have gone so far as making petitions on Change.org addressed to series creator Tite Kubo.

According to the Bleach Reddit page, there is an interview with Masashi Kudou, character designer of Bleach anime. The interview at Bleachmx.fr was in French but it was transcribed, and Redditor 'MrTyeFox' gave the translation.

"So you understand, the anime's staff hasn't forgotten about it, like people said. If we don't say anything about it, that means we have nothing in progress at the moment, but there is always a possibility for it to return. Because people care about Bleach deeply. This ties in with what we said on 27 March 2012 (The end date of the anime). It's important to wait patiently and continue to support the anime and manga by buying licensed Bleach products while hoping to see it back. You may refer to the previous article about this below."

In other words, the answer is still vague and there is no assurance as yet on whether the anime will return.

However, rumors and speculation are spreading that the anime is simply waiting for the manga to conclude. Admittedly, there are some problems on running an anime while the manga is still being released on a weekly basis and perhaps Bleach creators do not prefer that set up. Again, this is only speculation.

If that was the case, there are also rumors from the Examiner that had the bold claim that the anime was confirmed to end in 2015. This seems unlikely as the latest chapter does not seem to point to an ending within eight weeks (based on one chapter/week release).

For the thousands who signed the petition and possibly millions of Bleach anime fans around the world, the waiting game continues.
