A leaked HTC One X9 press release shows tech fans what to expect.

HTC One M10 release may still happen as the new leak of the HTC One X9 hinted that it will not replace the famous HTC smartphone line.

The latter appeared in China's "telecommunications equipment certification center", TENAA. The new leak showed that the smartphone is a mid-range device and is not the top-of-the-line HTC One M series.

Based on the leak, the HTC One X9 will sport a design similar to HTC One A9 with the same slim unibody and dual front-facing BoomSound speakers. The smartphone will also sport a 5.5-inch display with 1920x1080 resolution for 401ppi. It will be powered by 2.2 GHz octa-core processor and 2GB of RAM.

HTC One X9 will be equipped with 16GB internal storage plus a microSD slot for expansion, 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The smartphone will run with Android 5.0.2 Lollipop OS.

Meanwhile, some of the rumored HTC One M10 features are: a bigger screen display with either 2K or 4K pixel resolution, which will yield to clearer and more vivid images. Under the hood, the handset is purported to be powered by Qualcomm 82X with 3.X GHz octa-core HMP cyclone technology paired with 4GB of RAM that will deliver faster and better performance. The handset will sport the same storage systems with microSD slot for additional external storage.

Other rumored features of HTC One M10 are dual-SIM support, 27 megapixels front and back camera, longer battery life, and wireless charging feature, according to TechRadar. The smartphone will be dustproof and water-resistant like most handsets. The handset will cost around $650 to $800 depending on the storage variant. However, HTC has confirmed none of the aforementioned rumors.

It is still unknown when the two smartphones will be released, but HTC One X9 may come soon, while the HTC One M10 release may be slated for release early next year. The former could be released in Taiwanese and Chinese markets.
