"The Winds of Winter" is the sixth novel in George R. R. Martin's epic fantasy series "A Song of Ice and Fire."

"Game of Thrones" author George R. R. Martin hinted that there are exciting twists in "Winds of Winter," which will certainly shock the fans.

It is also speculated that the long awaited novel "Winds of Winter" will be released in early 2016. The previous book "A Dance of Dragons" in the "A Song of Fire and Ice" series was released in 2011.

It was rumored earlier that a Polish publishing house is claiming that they currently possess the manuscript of "Winds of Winter," which is due to be translated to Polish.

A Spanish publication house also claimed that they expect to release the Spanish translation of the book in the upcoming months. If the book is already up for translation, it could certainly mean that it can see a release early next year.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Martin hinted that Jon Snow may be alive in the book, even though he supposedly died in "Game of Thrones" season 5 finale.

In the meantime, the upcoming "Game of Thrones" season 6 is facing a delay in its release. The HBO network revealed their plans to release the show called "Vinyl" in February. This automatically puts "Game of Thrones" on the back burner, according to Vanity Fair.

The musical drama "Vinyl" will run for 10 weeks, which means it will end on April 17, 2016 roughly. This, in turn implies that "Game of Thrones" Season 6 will be released in April's end or later. The channel is yet to announce the new date of release for the show.
