Warner Bros. Studio has planned to start shooting the "Dark Universe" film early next year.

Warner Bros. Studio planned to start shooting the "Dark Universe" film early next year, although there was no announcement about the director since Guillermo Del Toro left the project.

Even if the "Crimson Peak" director made the directorial position vacant, Del Toro's screenplay has been proven to be an excellent product.

Del Toro's work made Warner Bros. determined to use the script to finally start the production of "Dark Universe," according to JoBlo.

As no one has yet to serve as director of the film, "Big Bad Wolves" duo Navot Papushado and Aharon Keshales were considered. Aside from the aforementioned group, "Evil Dead" remake director Fede Alvarez has also been observed as a formidable choice.

The 37-year-old Alvarez is currently in the post-production phase for "A Man in the Dark" while Keshales and Pepushado do not have a big project to do after contributing to American horror comedy flick "The ABCs of Death 2." Thus, both choices have room to do the much-awaited "Dark Universe" movie adaptation.

Aside from the directors reportedly being considered, the names of cast members were also revealed, according to ComingSoon.net.

Reportedly, 39-year-old Irish actor Colin Farrell will act as Constantine while American actor and voice animator Ron Perlman will occupy the role of Swamp Thing.

In addition, "The Dark Knight Rises" actor Ben Mendelsohn will supposedly be Anton Arcane "Dark Universe" while Scottish celebrity Ewan McGregor is set to star as Jason Blood. Italian actress and fashion model Monica Bellucci will purportedly be acting as Madame Xanadu.

A comedy actor will likely be picked for the role of Deadman while an upcoming star could serve as Zatanna.

Initially titled "Justice League Dark," "Dark Universe" will be a macabre story about the JLD team and will adapt the comic book series of the same name.
