Kairat Akhmetov is crowned the new ONE Flyweight World Champion

In the co-main event of ONE: Dynasty of Champions, Kazakh fighter Kairat Akhmetov shocked the crowd with a split decision victory over now former champion Adriano "Black Diamond" Moraes to capture the ONE Flyweight World Championship, Saturday, November 21 at the Gymnasium of National Olympic Sports Centre in Beijing, China.

Akhmetov utilized all his world-class Greco Roman wrestling skills to dominate Moraes with lightning quick takedowns. Once on top, Akhmetov controlled the action with his strength and ability to nullify the Brazilian's various submission attempts.

Moraes however, showcased a newfound aptitude for striking as he constantly kept Akhmetov out of range with head kicks and straight punches, making full use of his long limbs.

Akhmetov used shoot wrestling to catch double and single legs on Moraes all night long, which scored him a lot of points in the eyes of the judges.

Although Moraes always remained a threat with submissions every time the fight hit the ground, Akhmetov continuously put the fight on the mat, sometimes seemingly at will which dictated the pace of the fight for five full rounds.

Despite a gruelling finish, after 25 minutes both fighters still looked fresh but it was Akhmetov who was busier down the stretch.

in the Beijing Featherweight Tournament II final bout, Yang Sen took the fight straight to opponent Zhang Jia Cai to win by impressive Kimura submission.

Yang beat Zhang to the punch on numerous occasions and commandeered the action on the mat to set up the spectacular finish.

With the victory, Yang maintained his undefeated record and was crowned tournament champion.

This is ONE Championship's second event held in Beijing, as the organization continues their efforts to develop mixed martial arts in mainland China.

Next up, ONE Championship visits Phnom Penh on December 5 and shortly after, Manila on December 11 to close out 2015 with a bang.
