‘Thor: Ragnarok’ Rumors: Loki Defeat Part of His Plan To Get The Tesseract To Asgard; Did He Put One Over Thanos?

Tom Hiddleston is Loki in "Thor: Ragnarok."

One of the most hilarious scenes in "The Avengers" was the Hulk throwing Loki around with his remark of "puny god!"

Loki was clobbered in that movie-or was he?

The god of mischief may be much smarter than we thought-and that's saying a lot. What if the entire Avengers movie was all part of Loki's plan?

This was already suggested as early as the release of the first Avengers movie in 2012. Mask of Reason had a theory that Loki pulled off a "Xanatos Gambit" or a plan that cannot fail, win or lose. They were probably the first, before it made the rounds.

In order words, Loki wanted the Avengers to beat him all along. The site pointed out that Loki is the god of mischief and lies and because of that, nothing with him is as it seems.

Loki was never interested in Earth (Midgard) that's why it's puzzling why he was attempting to conquer it. That much was figured out by Tony Stark, and he actually asked him that.

That was corroborated by We Got This Covered. Loki used the Avengers to bring the Tesseract to Asgard. He could not do it by himself, and if Thanos was involved, SHIELD would've just brought it back to Earth.

About Thanos, that's where the two sites diverge. WGTC was unsure whether Thanos was in on Loki's plans, or whether he was a victim of Loki himself.

In "Age of Ultron, "Thanos talked about how "he has to do it himself" as his minions have failed. Considering that Loki now sits at the throne of Asgard, he is definitely not a "failure" because everything went according to plan. Thus, even Thanos may have been deceived by the god of mischief.

He probably won't take this lightly, and that's one thing to look forward to on "Thor: Ragnarok" releasing on July 28, 2017.
