‘Star Wars The Force Awakens’: Mark Hamill Revealed The Story Moved On; New Generation Take Over? [VIDEO]

The absence of Mark Hamill in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" trailer have sparked curiosity to millions of fans, whether or not he will still be around to play the role of Luke Skywalker in episode 7.

Hamill responded to questions during his interview with "Famous Monsters of Filmland" magazine, as he was being featured in its 283rd issue. Hamill opened during the interview and shared important details about the upcoming movie "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." He opened up some details that he knows fans would be interested to know, reported by Movie News Guide.

Hamill admitted that his excitement was beyond words , with the new storyline, the new character and the of cast that were chosen to play the roles. In he attempted to elaborate more into the basic concept of the movie by revealing that about the introduction of a set of new generation of heroes and villains. But according to him, half a dozen from the original cast will still be there to be part of the historical side of the story. This will enable the young people to see the progression of the characters, Cinemablend reported.

He thinks, the "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" will be much more exciting for the audience and gave an assurance that it's not going to be like the old movie where they used to be rattling around in the Death Star and exchanging jokes and competing for the princess's affection. This episode will be more age appropriate. In Hamill's words, the story have moved on and their purpose in the old movie is different.

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" is scheduled to hit theaters on December 17, 2015.
