"Law & Order: SVU" Season 17 is on winter hiatus and it will not be airing Episode 10 on Nov. 25, 2015. The exact airdate for the remaining segments is still unannounced. However, a new report suggests that the show will return in the beginning of the New Year 2016. Read on for full scoop.

In Episode 9 "Depravity Standard" of "Law & Order: SVU" Season 17, fans saw the return of Lewis Hoda (Tom Sizemore), whose case Benson handled with Barba. Olivia Benson and her team are forced to open a 1999 case to prove Hoda is guilty as he claims that he is being framed by the Special Victims Unit. The explosive fall finale definitely left fans wanting for more. But they might have to wait longer than they thought.
According to Cartermatt, the network is yet to release the return airdate for "Law & Order: SVU" Season 17. However, series' leading actress Mariska Hargitay, who plays the role of Olivia Benson, has teased that the series will be back in January with yet to be titled Episode 10.
On Nov. 19, 2015, the actress posted a message on her Twitter account thanking diehard fans of the series. She also revealed what to expect when "Law & Order: SVU" Season 17 returns next year.
Hoda's unexpected return shook Benson's world. But the trouble is far from over for the Sergeant. Fans can expect to see the show follow the trend and bring back more villains from Benson's past. She teased the return of "some pretty bad guys" for "Law & Order: SVU" Season 17.
