Microsoft Announces Free Games For Xbox Live Gold Subscribers

Microsoft announced on Tuesday the much awaited list of its Games with Gold free titles for Xbox Live Gold subscribers in January.

Xbox Live Gold members will be receiving three free games for the Games with Gold program in January. Xbox 360 users will get two games, while the Xbox One will get one.

Xbox One users will be receiving the Dark Dreams Don't Die episodic video game title by Access Games released on September 2014. Also known as D4, the video game is normally priced at around $15.

Xbox 360 users will be receiving MX vs ATV Alive launched on May 2011 and is usually priced at $20, and The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings developed by CD Projekt Red, who is developing the third installment for the Witcher series, also launched on May 2011 and is usually priced at $30.

D4 will be free to download for Xbox One Gold members for the whole month of January, while MX vs ATV Alive will be available from January 1 to January 15, and The Witcher 2: Assassins of kings starting from January 16 up to January 31.

The three video game titles will be free for Xbox Live Gold Members in all areas where there is Xbox Live.

According to Microsoft, there might be different video game titles for certain regions and areas that depend on "market availability," but the aforementioned video games is expected to be available in most areas.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, the sequel to one of the listed games above, will be released on May 19, 2015 after recent delays.
