Samsung Pay Update: Promotion of Samsung Pay Starts on a High Note; Company Offering Payment to Customers

Samsung is offering customers Best Buy gift card worth $50 for signing up to Samsung Pay, as a part of a promotional campaign by the company.

This offer is valid up to the end of this year, and it is revealed that anyone using Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge+ and Note 5 will be entitled to this promotional offer. Samsung Pay is directly competing with Apple Pay, where Samsung is making available to the users of their Galaxy S6 series and Note 5 the option to pay directly from the phone for purchasing items of small value by using NFC along with a credit card.

While Samsung announced that they already have 1 million users in South Korea, users of this service wishes to extend the facility to U.S. Apple, on the other hand, announced that it has 1 million sign-ups for Apple Pay service during the first 3 days.

The company also announced that it has plans of expanding the Samsung Pay features with multiple options, which include linking up with Chase Visa debit or credit or Liquid Cards for paying with just a tap on the phone.

Besides Chase Bank, 7 other card issuers were also announced as partners, which include Citizens Equity First Credit Union, Security Service Federal Credit Union, Randolph-Brooks Federal Credit Union , State Employees' Credit Union, Virginia Credit Union and SunTrust, all being issuers of Master Cards. The only other issuer is the Navy Federal Credit Union, which is rumored to be joining as a partner.
