The 1990s "Save by the Bell" star Dustin Neil Diamond was arrested in Wisconsin on Friday for allegedly stabbing a man in a bar, Time reported.

Ozaukee County police officers said, as cited by ABC News, that on Christmas around 11:15 p.m, the 37 year old actor stabbed a man at the Grand Ave. Saloon and then left the bar riding in a white SUV along with his girlfriend, Amanda Schutz.

According to police reports from Ozaukee County, Diamond was charged with possession of switchblade knife, carrying a concealed weapon and first degree recklessly endangering safety.

The American actor and stand-up comedian appeared on Ozaukee County court Friday afternoon wherein a $10,000 bail was set.

Citing multiple reports, it is said that Diamond is only defending his bleeding fiancée from two intoxicated men grabbing her hair. The victim, which was stabbed under his armpit, was treated in a local hospital and is now recovering from a non-critical injury.

On the other hand, Schutz drove away in a white SUV with Diamond and was stopped by the cops and found a 3.75-inch stiletto folding knife that uses an assisted opening mechanism and thumb stud. As cited by the same report from ABC News, during questioning by police officers, Diamond claimed he did not intentionally stab the victim.

Diamond had its fair share of controversies, even before his child star days were over, as he was also sued over non-payment of his utility bills in 2009. The same year, he published "Behind the Bell" book that covers an inside story about "Save by the Bell" cast and crew, in which, tackles fault-finding representation of his colleagues.
