Microsoft has recently inked deals with Xiaomi and Lenovo for the promotion of its newest operating system, Windows 10.

Microsoft has finally decided to challenge the famous and most used web browsers Chrome and Firefox with their new browser. The code-name to be used for the new browser is Spartan. According to ZDNet, the idea and interface of the new browser will be brand new. So, users will experience the browser as the first glimpse of Spartan and not just an updated version of Internet Explorer.

The browser will contain the basic popular features of Firefox and Google Chrome. It is cited on various sources that Microsoft will come up with the best possible iconic ideas and features to promote the new browser. Therefore, the official last version of the Internet Explorer ends with Internet Explorer 11, which was the updated version of its predecessor IE 10. According to the Wall Street Journal Google Chrome has managed to achieve the top position as the most used web browser on computers, laptops, smartphones, or any other gadgets.

Regarding the browser Microsoft has not revealed any information about its outlook or interface but Neowin has mentioned that the browser will come up with rectangular tabs for webpages and forward, back, refresh button stands right next to the URL. The new settings will allow installing additional plug-ins by the user's choice. Microsoft might announce more details in January at their press event.

The old days mesmerizes the golden memory of Internet Explorer when it was the only standalone browser and it dominated the market. Gradually other browsers entered the market and shifted the users towards them offering better and smarter features and interface.
