"Whitney" star Yaya DaCosta plays a nurse in NBC's "Chicago Fire" spinoff "Chicago Med."

It is yet to be confirmed if "Chicago Med" star Yaya DaCosta will make a guest appearance in "America's Next Top Model" cycle 22 finale, which will air on The CW on Dec. 4. She, along with Selena Gomez's "In Dubious Battle" co-star Analeigh Tipton, is one of the "ANTM" alumni who successfully became an actor.

After placing second to Eva Pigford in "ANTM" cycle 3, DaCosta went on to land roles in several TV series including "All My Children," "Ugly Betty," "Army Wives" and "Body of Proof." Most recently, she is known for playing Nurse April Sexton in "Chicago Fire" and "Chicago Med."

In an interview with Eurweb, DaCosta talked about her career as an actress. She said she has been acting since she was a child and she was put on by her acting coach in Junior High School, the one who introduced her to her manager and her agent.

DaCosta revealed her "ANTM" background is more of a disadvantage to her as an actress. She explained, "I was told by directors and producers that had they known about that show, they may not have cast me or auditioned me."

Previously, DaCosta said in an interview with VH1 that her "ANTM" cycle 3 experiences were a bit traumatic and part of her healing process was to cut herself off. With such statements, it is not likely that the "Chicago Med" star is set to appear as a guest star in the "ANTM" cycle 22 finale.

Aside from starring in "Chicago Med," DaCosta is also set to star in the crime thriller film "The Nice Guys" opposite "La La Land" star Ryan Gosling and "American Horror Story" actor Matt Bomer.
