Apple is yet facing another lawsuit, alleging them of deceptive and unfair business strategies, including false advertising regarding the storage capacity of its products.

On Monday, the Cupertino firm was sued in federal court by Florida customers, who alleges that the iPhone maker did not inform its users of how large the iOS8's file size was.

A complaint was filed in California by Christopher Endara and Paul Orshan. According to the Miami residents, the iPhones and iPads that they purchased had less usable storage space than advertised, which was 16GB. Orshan added that the usable space was further decreased after upgrading the operating system from iOS7 to iOS8.

In the legal complaint, it states that Apple does note the size it takes from the device after being formatted by the system software. But, it contends that the iOS operating system takes up a significant amount.

The complaint, which aims for a class action status, says that Apple omits "material facts" that average consumers consider in the decision of buying their products or not.

The lawsuit makes it clear that the newer Apple devices have size discrepancies ranging between 18 and 23 percent.

In addition, the 18-paged legal complaint is accusing Apple of forcing its users to subscribe to its paid iCloud storage when the users run out of storage on their devices.

Furthermore, it is also accusing Apple of not collaborating with third-party cloud storage providers and other file transfer apps to store the files offline from their Apple devices.

According to The Verge, Apple has not responded to the complaint.

It is also not the first time that Apple has been sued over the storage issue.

In 2007, a complaint was filed over the usable storage of 7.45GB out of the 8GB in the iPod Nano, but the case was dismissed.
