NBA Rumors: Stephen Curry Is Lionel Messi Of Basketball! Golden State Warriors Set For 20-0 In Hometown Charlotte

Stephen Curry drives past Rudy Gobert.

The Golden State Warriors have already broken the record and Stephen Curry has been an absolute magician on the court.

Just like FC Barcelona soccer great, Lionel Messi. Both players from different sports have dominated their game and have made improbable, impossible shots. The question begged to be answered: Is Curry the Messi of basketball or is Leo the Steph Curry of football?

The Sydney Morning Herald talked to Curry about this comparison.

"I don't know-it's a chicken and egg kind of conversation.

We both have a creative style, a feel when you are out on the pitch or the court. I'm trying to do some fancy things out there with both hands, making crossover moves and having a certain flair to my game and that's definitely the style Messi has when he is out there in his matches."

The reigning NBA MVP confesses he's also a fan at heart. "I love watching him play, I'm a big fan and he's the guy you watch play because you never know what he is going to do at any particular moment. When he is on TV everyone is glued in because he can get the touch of the ball and something special can happen. You have to appreciate that kind of talent."

Stephen Curry just led his team to their 19th straight victory, but as ESPN recounted, it was not that easy.

The Jazz were dark horses to inflict the first defeat of the Warriors amazing run as they had young players and center Rudy Gobert could be the X-factor, yet the Warriors had a balanced attack with Klay Thompson and Draymond Green to pitch in 20 points each.

Golden State will visit Stephen Curry's hometown, Charlotte as they take on the Hornets on December 2. If they still emerge victorious, it will be an unprecedented 20-0 start for the Warriors.
