Daesh Beheading Russian Prisoner

The Daesh, or Islamic State (IS), is back to beheading prisoners. On Wednesday, the terror organization again posted a video showing an alleged Russian spy being decapitated.

It was months since a public beheading and shown on the internet was made by the IS, the last victim being a Japanese journalist. This is the first time that the group has beheaded a Russian as revenge for Moscow's bombing of Syria after the IS took responsibility for the explosion of a Russian jet over Egypt that killed 224 people aboard. Previous beheading victims were American, British and Japanese hostages.

Another new thing with the video is a new decapitator who is a bearded  Russian man. Unlike the previous beheader, Mohammed Emwazi, a Briton who covered his face with a black hood, the Russian beheader's face was not hidden, reports the New York Daily News.

The emergence of a new executioner could be a confirmation that Emwazi, also known as Jihadi John, was indeed killed by an American drone attack on Syria in November, reports Express. He said to Russian President Vladimir Putin in Russian language, "You will not find peace in your homes. We will kill your sons for each son you killed here. And we will destroy your homes for each home you destroyed here."

The video did not also identify the name of the alleged Russian spy, unlike the victims of Jihadi John who have been named. However, like previous decapitated prisoners, he also wore an orange shirt and orange pants and made a confession that he allegedly spied on the IS to help Russia.
