DeAndre Jordan

While it was an outlandish prediction at the start of the season after expectations were high, the hammer has dropped for DeAndre Jordan.

The video where Ric Bucher of Bleacher Report declared that DeAndre Jordan was his choice for "NBA Star most likely to be traded" sounded outrageous as the off-season, emoji-filled drama was still fresh on the minds of Clippers fans.

But as he said, the issues were never resolved. Chris Paul will not really adjust his game for DeAndre, and all the other issues unraveled for the team.

Now, even the fans notice, as a thread has been started in Real GM by a Clippers fans that "DeAndre Jordan Should Be Traded."

According to user 'ClipsFanSince98' started the thread on the premise that Jordan "is the same player he's always been." He notes that Jordan does deliver the rebounds, but "he's been an identical player on a per minute basis all 7 years pretty much."

He also notes that after DJ signed the max contract, he got even worse. He had a dip in rebounding-his forte, and that was reflective of his overall effort. The free throw shooting has gotten even worse and from a fan's perspective, he's not even trying at all.

That's too bad when you expect your team to be to be contenders. The Clippers have many deficiencies on the roster and trading Jordan while he still has top value could address some of the team's needs.

There was a three-way trade proposed which involved the Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers. However, the Sixers may be hesitant to send Nerlens Noel anywhere with Jahlil Okafor's issues and the Celtics may hold on to the Brooklyn Nets' pick and wait for DeMarcus Cousins.

If the Clippers want to make an adjustment as soon as restrictions are lifted, they could deal with asset-heavy Orlando Magic. The Clippers need a solid option at the small forward position and replace their starting center.

The Magic could offer Nikola Vucevic and Tobias Harris. Vucevic is not such a good rim protector but not much worse than DJ is this season. Plus, he's a better offensive option, actually a double-double machine. Tobias Harris was a borderline All-Star last season and he could actually fill the void at the three spot long term.

The Orlando Magic are not exactly strangers to developing good centers and Scott Skiles may challenge DeAndre Jordan. In the summer, Jordan mentioned that he wanted to be the focal point of the offense, which he could not be with the Clippers as long as Blake Griffin is there. If this trade happens, Jordan could have his opportunity.
