Xiaomi Mi 5 Rumors: Leaked Photo Showing Bezel-less Design Has Surfaced

A leaked photo of the Xiaomi Mi 5 flagship smartphone has emerged.

A leaked render of the much-awaited Xiaomi Mi 5 has surfaced hinting that its unleash is drawing near.

The newly leaked photo shows that the Xiaomi Mi 5 will be arriving with bezel-less design. As far as the design of the Mi 5 handset in the leaked render is concerned, it bears a resemblance to to the Xiaomi MI Note flagship smartphone that was released at the start of 2015, Gizmo China reported.

The purported image of the Mi 5 was uploaded on Xiaomi's official account on Weibo. Since Xiaomi had released teaser images of the Mi Pad 2 tablet and Redmi Note 3 handset before releasing them on Nov. 24, speculations are rife that the surfacing of the leaked photo of Xiaomi Mi 5 is an indication that it will be announced soon.

During a recent interview, Lei Jun who is the CEO of Xiaomi had revealed that he is already using the unreleased Xiaomi Mi 5 as his daily driver. This is also indication directly from Xiaomi's CEO that the Xiaomi Mi 5 release date is imminent, G for Games reported.

The Xiaomi Mi 5 is yet to be officially unveiled. However, it has become one of the most awaited smartphones of this year since the manufacturer had released its predecessor, the Xiaomi Mi 4 in April 2014.

The Xiaomi Mi 5 is expected to feature a 5.3-inch Quad HD screen enabled with ClearForce Touch like 3D Touch feature available on the iPhone 6S/6S Plus handsets. Other specs of Mi 5 are Snapdragon 820 SoC, 21 MP rear camera, 8 MP front-facing camera and a 3,030 mAh battery.

Rumors have it that the Mi 5 will be available in two storage versions with different RAM capacities. The Xiaomi Mi 5 with 32 GB storage will arrive with 3 GB of RAM whereas the 64 GB model is expected to feature 4 GB of RAM.
