NFL 2015 Season: Minnesota Vikings vs Arizona Cardinals, Preview, Prediction & Predicted Lineup

| Dec 07, 2015 06:55 AM EST

Arizona Cardinals running back David Johnson (#31) carries the ball while under pressure from St. Louis Rams' Aaron Donald.

NFC North top contender Minnesota Vikings (8-4) will visit NFC West's division leaders Arizona Cardinals (10-2) at the University of Phoenix Stadium on Thursday, December 10 for a Week 14 game in the 2015 NFL season.

The Vikings suffered their second loss in three games on Sunday against the streaking Seattle Seahawks, 38-7, at their home field of TCF Bank Stadium as Adrian Peterson was held to a measly 18 yards in eight carries by the Seahawks' vaunted defense, as per the Vancouver Sun.

With the Packers win over the Lions last week, Minnesota is now tied with Green Bay at 8-4, although the latter has currently overtaken the Vikings on top of the division due to a superior Points For total.

Meanwhile, the Cardinals thumped the St. Louis Rams, 27-3, at the Edward Jones Dome also on Sunday to snatch their sixth win in a row, via NBC Sports' Pro Football Talk.

Rookie running back David Johnson was superb, gaining 99 yards in 22 carries although he didn't score a touchdown.

Quarterback Carson Palmer praised Johnson's plays, saying that "he doesn't act like a rookie, he doesn't look like a rookie" after the game.

Arizona is projected to extend its six-game winning run to seven against the Vikings this week.

Prediction: Cardinals win, 28-21.
