Rumors are out that Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain are keen on getting the services of Barcelona's Neymar in the near future, which in turn have boosted the bid of Premier League powerhouse Manchester United for Real Madrid's resident superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.

PSG has been speculated as the number one destination of the three-time Ballon d'Or winner if and when he decides to leave the Bernabéu this summer.

Last month, a quick chat and hug with Les Parisiens manager Laurent Blanc and wink on team president Nasser Al-Khelaifi during a Champions League meeting generated headlines of Ronaldo's impending transfer to the five-time French top flight's winners, as per the Daily Mirror.

However, Caught Offside recently reported that PSG officials may have changed their mind and are opting to target Barça's 23-year-old winger instead.

The Seleção captain has been superb for the Catalonia giants all season, scoring 14 goals in 12 appearances for the club so far this year. He is also said to be one of the top three candidates for this year's Ballon d'Or, which includes Barcelona teammate Lionel Messi and Ronaldo.

Meanwhile, the Red Devils are said to be "heavily linked with a move for the Portuguese superstar in recent weeks" and the biggest hindrance for them to pull it off is PSG as the French club is eyeing Ronaldo to replace Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who himself is considering a move to USA's Major League Soccer.

With the Paris residents rumored to be opting out of the Ronaldo race, then Louis van Gaal's squad will more likely have an easier time landing the "Galactico" signing the 63-year-old mentor had been envisioning since last summer.
