Rise of The Tomb Raider is an action-adventure video game developed by Crystal Dynamics and by Microsoft Studios and Square Enix.

It is now official from Microsoft that the first DLC for "Rise of the Tomb Raider" titled "Baba Yaga: The Temple of the Witch" will be released next year.

According to the official Xbox website, the update description of the upcoming content on the Xbox Wire reveals that DLC will incorporate a horror-themed plot to the game's campaign.

The content update will align series main character, Lara Croft, against the Baba Yaga, a witch-looking creature from Slavic folklore. Through the DLC, players will explore a new world set in a forbidden forest of Siberia.

The latest promo for "Baba Yaga: The Temple of the Witch," Croft wanders through a mysterious forest and he takes on several enemies. The video as well unveils the Baba Yaga's hut walking across the land using its two huge chicken legs, just as it is the case in the folklore.

In addition to the fresh surrounding to explore, gamers who will lay hands on the upcoming DLC will as well get a new bow and costume for Croft. Furthermore, the content will provide hours of gameplay focused on the mystery around the Baba Yaga.

While Microsoft did not give the actual release date for the DLC, the company pointed out that "Baba Yaga: The Temple of the Witch" DLC will be released in the beginning of 2016. The company will possibly launch the DLC sometime in January, according to IGN. Gamers who bought the Season Pass of "Rise of the Tomb Raider" for Xbox consoles will get the content update as soon as it comes out.
