Sam Heughan, lead of Starz's drama series "Outlander," has spoken up about the show's upcoming return during the 2015 Winter TCA Press Tour, teasing that there is a lot more sides of Jamie that viewers are going to see, E! News reported.

Heughan stars in the show as Jamie Fraser alongside his leading lady Caitriona Balfe, who plays Claire Randall. In anticipation of the show's return, he decided to share a little bit about his character, saying that Jamie definitely has a lot on his plate.

"He's finding his place in the world and finding new responsibilities and new relationships," he said. "We start to see the stubborn part of his pride so he's less of this idealistic man and we start to see his failings, and his chinks in the armor."

He even hinted at an upcoming scene in particular, which might surprise viewers and change Jaime and Claire's relationship, saying that involved spanking as a way to teach Claire a lesson.

"They both learn a lesson about their relationship. That experience strengthens their relationship," Heughan said.

To also amp up excitement about the show, Starz released a new trailer and teaser photos of the midseason return, which are available on io9. Fans will get to see Jaime and Claire jumping into bed together, getting cozy and steamy, as well as other characters, such as Black Jack Randall, Colum and Dougal MacKenzie, Geillis Duncan, Jaime's sister Jenny and more.

"Outlander" is based on the series of books by authoress Diana Gabaldon. A second season has been greenlighted, which is based on the second book of the series "Dragonfly in Amber," and production has already started making plans, HitFlix reported.

Executive producer Ronald Moore shared during the Press Tour that the second season will take place in Paris. They are already scouting possible shooting locations and looking at casting options.

The show will return for the second half of its first season on April 4 at 9 p.m. on Starz.
