The Detroit Pistons are rumored to reunite the Morris twins in Motor City.

Phoenix Suns forward Markieff Morris, who has drawn interests from several teams as the trade deadline approaches, is coming off a healthy DNP-CD situation on Sunday, and it was clear that there is an unusual situation going on regarding his minutes.

Markieff revealed that his benching was part of the Suns' transition and head coach Jeff Hornacek wanted to try something new with his rotation, reports the Arizona Republic.

However, Markieff's odd benching could be linked to the trade talks surrounding the forward.

Markieff was the center of trade rumors ever since the Suns traded his twin Marcus to the Detroit Pistons during the offseason, which the former did not like.

Ever since then, the disgruntled power forward has been the center of trade talks, and this time, the Suns are ready to grant Markieff's trade demands.

The most recent team to show interest in acquiring Markieff is the Pelicans.

Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports reported that the Pels "have emerged as a suitor" with interest in getting Markieff.

Wojnarowski also noted that the Suns and the Pelicans have had "preliminary contact about a potential trade, but Morris' pending felony aggravated assault charges remain a possible obstacle for virtually every team interested in making a deal."

Markieff is still considered a solid player at the four spot and his versatility stretches opponents' defense. He is averaging 11.4 points and 5.2 rebounds per game.

While the Pels may have "significant interest" in creating a frontcourt of Markieff and Anthony Davis, the Pistons could land Markieff and reunite him with his twin brother Marcus, reports SB Nation's SLC Dunk.

The report's proposal involves the Pistons, Suns, and the Utah Jazz, which was also rumored to show interest in Markieff.

According to the trade scenario, which was approved by ESPN's trade machine, the Pistons would receive Markieff and Jazz's Tibor Pleiss and Rodney Hood. The Jazz then gets Brandon Jennings and Ersan Ilyasova from the Pistons, while the Suns receive Trevor Booker and Trey Lyles from Utah.

By doing this trade, Morris twins reunite, the Suns continue to get cap relief, and the Jazz gets a legit NBA started, according to the report.

However, this trade may not materialize because it involves too many trade pieces. Furthermore, the Jazz does not look like they need a trade, with Utah managing to sneak into the Western Conference's top-eight teams.

It is almost certain that Markieff would be shipped before the trade deadline, and it all goes down to what team really needs his service the most.
