Three fourth grade girls in New York were suspended for orchestrating a plot to kill their "mean" teacher with hand sanitizer, the Genesee County Sheriff's Department deputies reported.

The students had been made aware that teacher was highly allergic to anti-bacterial hand sanitizer so the students at Elba Elementary School put hand sanitizer on different items that the teacher would touch all through the day.

After learning about the plan, one of the mothers contacted the school. Subsequently, the Elba Elementary School Principal alerted the police, according to the incident report. Another set of parents admitted that they did not tell anyone although they knew about it as well.

With their parents, the three girls accused of the plot met with sheriff's deputies and other officials. Since nothing had happened, neither the students nor their parents will face charges.

Chief Deputy Jerome Brewster explained that the girls have to commit either a misdemeanor or a felony to be charged with something since they are under the age of 16 with the juvenile laws in the state of New York, for a person, WKBW reported.

Citing protections under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, the school officials taking over the investigation refused to comment on the specifics of the incident, which include possible disciplinary actions taken.

The school officials pointed out that it is necessary to mention that nobody was actually injured put in harm's way. They have used it as a "vehicle for educating the district's students regarding appropriate behavior," CBS New York reported.
