"Metal Gear Solid V's" developers at Konami came under fire just recently when Hideo Kojima, the game's director was declared banned from the 2015 Game Awards. While a plethora of gamers were confused and are looking for answers, there are also others who described the surprising incident as a reflection of the Japanese culture.

The shocking news first surfaced during the Game Awards proceedings when Geoff Keighley, the event organizer announced that Hideo had been informed by a lawyer representing Konami just recently that he would not be allowed to travel to tonight's awards ceremony to accept any awards, Design Trend reported. Kojima is still an employee of the studio so he is required to follow the company's instructions.

Kojima is known as the master behind the "Metal Gear Solid V" and the rest of the series. A lot of fans spoke out against the news and viewed it as a very unfair treatment. Some even shouted ""f-ck Konami," and What a load of D-horse s-t,", which was eventually re-tweeted by Kojima himself.

Konami haven't made a statement yet regarding the incident which made a lot of people wonder why the developer would be cruel enough to totally ban one of its most famous director from getting awards for a project that he spent over half a decade developing. While there's no details yet, culture in Japan dev studios may provide some hints.

Reddit user TCsnowdream says Konami's shunning of Kojima was Japan's business mentality. There are also a lot of evidence that suggest that the "Metal Gear Solid V" might be the final project of Kojima.
