'Call of Duty' Online Goes Live In China; Newest Cyborg, Survival Mode, Single-Player Missions Featured

Acti-Vision & Tencent Holdings Ltd. announced the public open beta launch of Call of Duty Online to millions of gamers in China. Live across China today, Call of Duty (CoD) Online is the newest free version of the blockbuster video game franchise.

The development of this blockbuster online game has been initiated by Raven Software, the veteran CoD studio. "Call of Duty Online", which is inspired by "Call of Duty: Black Ops universes" and "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare", draws from the experiences of its inspirations that have gathered millions of online gamers around the globe in a special, all-new CoD experience, designed for China exclusively.

The Acti-Vision Publishing CEO, Eric Hirshberg said, "Millions of online gamers have come to acknowledge the magnificence of this epic thrill, white-knuckled  ride, which only the 'Call of Duty' has provided. With strong faith, we are envisioning that 'Call of Duty' online will become a huge game changer, not only for the people in the West, but for the Chinese gamers, also."
