2016 Toyota Prius; Better Efficiency, Lower Cost

The Prius family of cars has been widely regarded for its fuel efficiency and low cost. The Prius is known to be the best in the market in terms of efficiency and ownership cost. Toyota is pushing the boundaries even further with the new 2016 Toyota Prius.

The2016 Toyota Prius is available in six trim levels. The entry-level model of the car is called Prius Two and costs $25,035, a price which includes the $835 destination fee that applies to most parts of the United States. It is the only model in the lineup that sports a nickel-metal-hydride battery pack and hubcaps.

According to Reuters, Toyota is expecting the fourth-generation Prius to sell around 300,000 to 350,000 units.

Next in the lineup is the Prius Two Eco which costs $25,535 and the Prius Three which costs $27,085. Both sport a new and smaller lithium-ion battery pack. In terms of gas mileage, the Prius Eco is the best pick as it has an EPA rating of 56 miles per gallon.

The Prius Three Touring costs $, 28,935 and sports a 17-inch wheel and tires. It also has LED clearance lamps, integrated fog lamps, and unique rear bumper treatment giving it a sportier diving experience.

The top-of-the-line model is the Prius Four which costs $29,485. The Prius Four Touring which costs $30,835 adds the sport configuration, according to Christian Science Monitor.

The top-end 2016 Prius Four Touring has $1,760 Premium Convenience Package. The package includes Safety Connect concierge and emergency services, JBL premium audio, Intelligent Clearance Sonar with Parking Assist and upgraded infotainment features with apps.
