New 7-Inch Google Nexus 7 2016 Tablet Releasing In May 2016?

Google Nexus 7 will be likely manufactured by Huawei.

There are rumors that the upcoming Google Nexus 7 2016 tablet release may happen in May 2016.

It is rumored that Google is currently working on a successor for Nexus 7 2013. The devices, being referred to as Nexus 7 2016, is being manufactured under Huawei, according to Tech News Today.

The current model of Nexus 7 is getting huge prices slashes, pointing towards the fact that its successor might be released very soon.

Google is yet to confirm anything on building a new Nexus 7 device. However, rumors are rife that after its partnership with Huawei for building the Nexus 6P smart phone this year, both the companies are more than willing to collaborate and build the Nexus 7 2016.

The current Nexus 7 2013 is a product from Asus, and did not see any successor in the year 2014. However, its successor is expected to arrive now, after a gap of almost three years.

The 16 GB version of the Nexus 7 2013 is currently available for $100 on Group On, and was earlier available for around $124. However, now the price of the device has been slashed to $100. Since the tablet is seeing such huge price cuts, the arrival of its successor is imminent.

The new Google Nexus 7 2016 is expected to arrive with the flag ship tag of both Google and Huawei. It is rumored to feature the Kirin 950 chip set, which is patented to Huawei.

The device is expected to sport a screen display of 7 inches along with a screen resolution of 2560 x 1800 pixels, according to Android Pit. It is also rumored that the tablet will be launched at the Google I/O 2016 event, which is expected to take place either in the month of July or August next year.
