Ram recently revealed its new 2015 1500 Rebel pickup during the Detroit Auto Show. It is the 10th model based on the 1500 pickup series from Ram.
Auto Evolution compares the 2015 Ram 1500 Rebel to the lyrics of a David Bowie song, which says "not sure if you're a boy or a girl" as the new pickup model is trying to pass as a "comfortable" truck, an off-road machine and a "down-to-earth workhorse."
The 2015 Ram 1500 Rebel features a ground clearance of 10.3 inches with Toyo Open Country A/T all-terrain tires at 33 inches fitted with 17-inch alloys.
Its crosshair front grille is now replaced with a black plastic one with "RAM" written on shiny chrome. The 2015 Ram 1500 Rebel's taillight bezels, tow hooks, rear bumper and front bumper are also colored black.
According to Off Road, the Ram Rebel will be available in either a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 or a 5.7-liter HEMI with options of a 4x4 or a 4x2, which will only work with the HEMI.
The seats are made from highly-durable technical grain vinyl and are colored Black and Radar Red with a Sedoso fabric, which is embossed with the Toyo tire pattern identical to the Ram Rebel's tracks. "Rebel" is also embroidered on the upper seat bolsters.
Drivers of the 2015 Ram 1500 Rebel will be given a 100,000-mile or five-year Powertrain Limited Warranty plus a 36,000-mile or a three-year bumper to bumper warranty.
Ram revealed that the 1500 Rebel will be launched in 2015's second half, but did not disclose on its price.
