The Flash is a CW Network series developed by writer/producers Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and Geoff Johns.

New "The Flash" season 2 details will likely feature Wally West having super speed in the show, a rivalry with Barry Allen and Team Flash travelling to Earth 2.

It was during the season 2's midseason finale that Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale) debuted showing up in Joe and Iris West's (Jesse L. Martin and Candice Peyton) home for the holidays along with Barry Allen/The Flash (Barry Allen), Patty Spivot (Shantel VanSanten) and the rest of S.T.A.R. Labs team. Lonsdale told Variety that fans could expect more West family drama during the second haft of the show as Wally will have a difficult time adjusting to both his father and sister.

Lonsdale added that Wally West and Barry Allen could have some sort of sibling rivalry as Barry tries to reach out to him at some point in the show, but the latter refuses to despite Barry's good intentions. It is probably the fact that Joe raised Barry like his own son and that Wally felt left out causing some rift between the two.

It is also revealed that Wally West will have a "need for speed" as this version of the character loves to drag race as a way to let out his frustrations and is obsess about it. This trait of the character is speculated by fans that Wally could have speed force powers at some point in the show as it theorized that Barry could be mentoring him in handling his new powers and fight Zoom (Tony Todd), ComicBookResources reported.

In the comics, Wally West served as Barry's sidekick and adopted the code name Kid Flash. Wally gain his powers by replicating the same chemical accident that gave Barry's super speed and joined him in his fight for crime in Central City. Wally is the founder of the original Teen Titans and has succeeded Barry in becoming The Flash even surpassing him in speed.

In other news, Team Flash will be heading to Earth 2 in second haft of season 2 as several behind-the-scenes photos were leaked in Twitter.

Twitter username YVRShoots tweeted a photo of Earth 2 Barry Allen, while Username Pop Goes World tweeted a photo of Jay Garrick (Teddy Sears) fighting an unknown metahuman. Killer Frost (Danielle Panabaker) is also present in the leaked bts photos as Earth 2's version of Caitlin Snow.

"The Flash" returns on Tuesday Jan. 19, 2016 on the CW Network.
