Nintendo 3DS XL Release Confirmed; Capcom Says No To North America Distribution Of Regular Version

On February 13, the newest Nintendo XL 3DS will be out across Europe and North America, Nintendo confirmed on Wednesday. Nintendo's all-new and improved handheld will be available in the US at $200 in both red and black, while two more special editions have been announced, also.

Though new release updates have been announced, it appears that Capcom, the electronic game distributor, has no plan to offer the non-L, regular-sized systems within North America. This smaller model that comes with a similar hardware specifications, are unique in terms of custom faceplates.

In October of 2014, the smaller, regular versions alongside the newest Nintendo 3DS XL were shipped to Japan; however, Nintendo failed to mention if there is a plan to launch them within the US, also.

The newest Nintendo 3DS is designed with several hardware enhancements over its original model that what first launched in March of 2011. The updated version now features a C-stick positioned next to the face buttons, which will work as an analog stick.

There will also be a Super-Stale 3D that is capable of improving the viewing field and two shoulder buttons- ZR and ZL.

Europe, on the other hand, is getting regular-sized models together with the other 12 customized faceplates- all of these during the launch. In the United Kingdom, this regular version will be available in white and black, while the XL version will be in blue and black.

Meanwhile, two other special units - the Majora Mask and the ultimate edition of the Monster Hunter 4, will be launched in Europe and North America.

The Majora Mask will have the N64 classic 3D reboot, pre-installed.
