The Google Nexus 6P is one of the most popular smartphones in the United States.

The Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X are now the most popular smartphones in the United States. These sibling flagship devices from Google deliver an optimal user experience at an affordable price in comparison to similar devices in its range.

Nexus 6P goes for $499 while Nexus 5X starting price is $379. Google is knocking $50 off its regular price, a seasonal discount that brings the price down to $329 for the 16GB variant. Also, on offer is free holiday shopping on both devices too, Enstarz reported.

Nexus 5X flagship phone features a 5.2-inch Full HD LCD, the LG-made phone has a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. On the other side, the Huawei Nexus 6P phone has more screen release with a 5.7-inch Quad HD AMOLED display and its resolution is 2560 x 1440 pixel.

The different resolutions are not that visible to a human eye since user apps come set for the best on gadget viewing experience. Compared the Nexus 5X to other displays, it has less contrast although its LCD feature makes it easier to read while in contact to direct sunlight and has less energy consumption Robust, engaging colors are enhanced by the Quad HD AMOLED display; the colors are applicable for a more fluid feel during game playing. However, QHD display consumes more energy over LCD screens.

The camera integration on both phones (Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X) are similar. The phones feature a 12MP main camera with f/2 aperture, ½.3" sensor and dual LED flash. As a result, great picture is possible even when taking low light photos. The camera comes with unique features enabling laser autofocus, face detection and picture taking is made foolproof by the touch focus. When it comes to selfie cameras, Nexus 6P has an 8MP camera on the front while the Nexus 5X comes with a 5MP front camera. These cameras make it possible for video calls and snapping the best selfie for social media sites.

Both devices feature powerful 800 series Qualcomm Snapdragon CPUs for daily computing; this is also possible due to the ample RAM that enables multitasking and seamless navigation. Google put a 1.8 GHz hexacore 64-bit Snapdragon 808 processor on Nexus 5X, 2GB RAM, and Adreno 430 GPU. The Nexus 6P comes with a 2.0 GHz octa-core 64-bit Snapdragon 810, 3GB of RAM and Adreno 430 GPU.

From Google Store, it is evident that the beefed up specs requires a good power supply, hence, a 3450 mAh built-in battery powers the Nexus 6P. On the other side, the Nexus 5X phone is powered a 2700mAh internal battery pack, and the USB Type-C charger offers fast charging just like the Nexus 6P.

The operating system for the Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X is the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow. For network support, both phones support GSM (850, 900, 1800, 1900 Mhz), CDMA (800, 1900 Mhz) band compatibility.

The successor to the Nexus 6 was announced by Google at its event on Sept. 29.
