Adam Lambert is one of the most successful names American Idol has produced.

Adam Lambert returned to "American Idol" as a guest judge this time and pretended to audition as a request from fellow judges Jennifer Lopez and Harry Connick Jr., UT San Diego reported.

Lambert sang the same song "Bohemian Rhapsody" in his audition for the show six years ago. The singer replaced Keith Urban temporarily as the latter took a leave for the death of his father in law. Lambert appeared in "American Idol" several times as a mentor and guest performer.

On "American Idol" Season 8, Lambert came in second to Kris Allen. Although he was not the champion of the competition, Lambert obviously had a successful career with his Grammy nomination, hit albums, guest performances and international tours with artists like the band Queen.

The European concert entitled "Queen + Adam Lambert Rock Big Ben Live," was warmly welcomed by the Londoners. Lambert received praises for his performances of Queen's original songs such as his favorite "Bohemian Rhapsody," and "Don't Stop Me Now."

Viewers said Lambert was "pitch perfect" and he could be the next Freddie Mercury. The "American Idol" alum also toured with the band in the US and their shows were even branded as a "must see." The singer will continue touring with Queen until February of this year, Inquisitr reported.

Aside from the success of his international shows, Lambert recently signed a contract with Warner Bros. for a record deal.  The singer expressed his gratitude of landing a deal with the company saying that it felt like home where he perfectly fits.

Lambert also shared what his fans can expect in his new album revealing that the tour with Queen highly influenced his new ideas.

"I wanted something more internal and more grounded. A little less with the theatrical and the camp and the presentation. I wanted to bring it in a bit more. Being on the road with a British rock band, and being in London a lot this year, rehearsing with them and doing TV gigs, I think that has affected my sound and where we are headed with it," Lambert said.

Lambert's fans can watch out for his upcoming album which is scheduled for release in early summer.
