Teresa And Joe Giudice Court Appearance

"Real Housewives" star Teresa Giudice will get an early Christmas gift with her release from prison on Wednesday ahead of completing her 15-month sentence.

James Leonard, lawyer of Giudice, who was convicted of fraud along with her husband, would be released for good behavior. She is not receiving preferential treatment, the lawyer stressed, reports ABC.

The actress is not going through a halfway house but straight to her family to enjoy the Christmas holidays. "She looks forward to coming home ... and get back to her life," discloses Leonard.

However, the Giudice being a complete family would only be short lived because Joe Giudice, Teresa's husband, would begin to serve his longer 41-month sentence in March. The judge delayed his serving the sentence so there would be someone to take care of their four daughters while Teresa was serving her term.

Joe, an Italian citizen, also runs the risk of being deported after he completes his sentence, the judge warned.

She would be released from a low-security federal prison in Danbury, Connecticut, where she started to begin her sentence in January, reports Reuters. The 43-year-old reality star was convicted in March 2014 for hiding her income to maintain a lavish lifestyle as seen on "Real Housewives of New Jersey."

The couple admitted to the court that they submitted fraudulent applications for loans and mortgages and padded their salaries from 2001 through 2008. While the pair filed for bankruptcy protection in 2009, they concealed businesses they own and income from rental property and talent fees for the TV show, the prosecutors said.
