ZTE Unveils Its 6.0-inch Axon Max Smartphone In China

ZTE Corporation is a Chinese multinational telecommunications equipment and systems company headquartered in Shenzhen, China.

Chinese company ZTE Mobile Devices recently announced the launch of its latest premium phablet device, the ZTE Axon Max, which is expected to go on sale in China this month for about $431.

As part of the Axon series, the ZTE Axon Max comes in a ultra-thin body, made of aluminum titanium alloy, and measures 160 x 80 x 7.5mm in dimensions.

Specs-wise, the Axon Max sports a 6.0-inch and 2.5D curved AMOLED display screen with a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution (FHD). The phone has a 16 megapixel rear-facing camera with an f/1.9 aperture (PDAF), and a powerful 13 megapixel front-facing shooter with an f/2.2 aperture.

Under the hood, the Axon Max packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor, accompanied by a 64 bit octa-core CPU and an Adreno 405 graphics processing unit, Android Headlines reported.

The phone comes with 3GB of RAM, up to 32GB of expandable internal memory storage and a massive 4,140 mAh battery. The battery supports the Quick Charge 2.0 technology that can charge the phone up to 60 percent in just 30 minutes.

Also, the Axon Max comes with a fingerprint sensor on the back and a AK4961 24-bit ADC for high audio quality. Other specs include support for USB Type-C port connection and dual-SIM functionality, according to GSM Arena. The handset is currently available in gold color only.

As of this time, ZTE did not mention anything about the availability of the Axon Max outside of the Chinese market. In addition to the new smartphone, the company also introduced a new service in China, called the "Global VIP Passport", which will offer users 24-hour online emergency consultation, a secure repair service, and business travel service, among others.
