War Machine's nomenclature is set to change in Joe Russo and Anthony Russo's upcoming Marvel Comics film "Captain America: Civil War."
According to Total Film, War Machine will be called as War Hammer in the Russos' "Captain America: Civil War." It is said that War Hammer looked to get into a spot of bother in "Civil War" and the film's trailer showed his pulverized body being cradled by a distraught Tony Stark.
There is no War Hammer in the comic book, according to Cinema Blend. However, the said name is slightly "PR" friendly that the reason War Machine's name is changed in "Captain America: Civil War" is relatable.
Another speculation is the return of Tony Stark's rival, Justin Hammer of Hammer Industries, who upgraded the War Machine armor. This suggests that War Machine could create a major difference in the film's storyline, with his relationship with Stark.
War Machine joins Iron Man's team, which includes Black Widow and Vision. They are set to battle Captain America, along with Hawkeye, the Winter Soldier, Falcon, Ant-Man, and Agent 13. Scarlet Witch's team is reportedly uncertain following the loss of her brother Quicksilver while Spider-Man is also set to appear in the film, though his side is unknown.
In line with the upcoming film, it is rumored that Captain America is set to battle with Black Panther, as the former's shield and the latter's suit have vibranium. Also, Hawkeye and Scarlet Witch could be seen firing psychic arrows during the battle.
The Russos' "Captain America: Civil War" is slated to premiere in theaters in the United States on May 6, 2016.
