Being Nintendo's biggest franchise "Super Smash Bros" has established itself as the best video game for the largest crossovers in the industry. With what has evidently become the most diverse roster of the gaming icons historically, it is not surprising that avid fans were eagerly speculating about and playing the games well after their respective release dates.

The DLC is ending and a new console is eminent, a major concern is how Nintendo will top the latest iteration, according to Gamerant.

In real sense, with a lineup wrapping up at a whopping 58 fighters, there is no space and time for a new entry to be incorporated. The developer company has set the development of the game to kick off at about 2 years out from launch, and therefore, there is no time to restructure the fighting game completely with all of the lately included characters.

However, a different report from the same publication pointed out that with mass production for the NX reportedly scheduled to commence at the end of Q1 2016, the only rational thing would be porting "Super Smash Bros" for Wii U/3DS to the upcoming platform.

Reportedly, Nintendo is not yet finished with the franchise based on the success of the titles on both Wii U and 3DS platforms. Amid reports of uncertainty concerning future installments from the series' creator, Masahiro Sakurai, more games will definitely happen.

Meanwhile, the current iteration has garnered so much excitement in over the years that fans are not ready to say goodbye to the franchise just yet. As a result, a port seems the most likely, especially considering that the aforementioned Wii U appears as though it will not be afforded a full time cycle because of its less-than-stellar sales.
