Clash of Clans Town Hall 11 update seemingly does not present challenges for the low and mid-level gamers only. Some players already having the New Town Hall 11 are finding it hard to locate villages to attack because of the newly implemented Village Guard. Many users on the high level are as well finding the same challenge.
Many high-level gamers pointed out that it takes them many hours to locate a village to attack since the release of the major update.
A gamer posted on the COC Forums, "I'm currently in Legend league right now but I'm also speaking on behalf of all my friends and clanmate who are in Titan 1 or lower Titan 2. For the past week clouds have been really terrible, WORST than before the update."
A number of players at the higher leagues as well claimed not being able to locate villages to attack. The blame went to the newly implemented Village Guard as the central cause of failing to find villages.
The Village Guard is a defensive character that automatically becomes active when a gamer's shield time is completely depleted. He acts as if a player is online for a limited period, which implies that gamers cannot be attacked. The higher the level of the player, the longer the Village Guard time they have.
According to The Bit Bag, below are the current free Village Guard duration per league as recently unveiled by the developer company, Supercell, in the winter update:
- Titan 1 / Legend: Free 4 hours Village Guard
- Titan II: Free 3 hours Village Guard
- Titan III: Free 2 hours Village Guard
- Champion (all levels): Free 1 hour Village Guard
- Below Champion: Free 30 minutes Village Guard
Furthermore, some players said that it was hard to look for enemies since many high-ranking gamers dropped to the lower leagues. It is possible this issue is happening because most people who were frustrated by the update have already stopped playing the game.
