'Game Of Thrones' Season 6 Spoilers: Show Producers To Tone Down Sexual Violence Scenes

Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) is expected to seek revenge from Ramsay Bolton (Iwan Rheon) in "Game Of Thrones" season 6.

After receiving intense backlash over the brutal rape scene of Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) in the season 5, the producers of "Game Of Thrones" are finally ready to tone down the sexual violence in the upcoming seasons of the hit HBO series.

"Game Of Thrones" director Jeremy Podeswa was talking to Vanity Fair when he revealed that they were taken aback at the outcry over the brutal scene of sexual assault that was shown explicitly in the controversial Season 5 episode "Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken."

"We were aware ahead of time that it was going to be disturbing but we did not expect there would be people in Congress talking about it," said Podeswa during the interview before further revealing that the show's creators Dan Weiss and David Benioff have acknowledged the negative response and are now more than willing to change their approach. "They did not want to be too overly influenced by that (criticism) but they did absorb and take it in and it did influence them in a way."

Since a major "Game Of Thrones" season 6 spoiler have indicated that another female  protagonist is in for a traumatic sexual assault scene to be shown next year, it is anticipated that the scene will be quite demure as compared to several sexual violence shots that has appeared on "Game of Thrones" to date.

As for Sansa, she is likely to not only live, but thrive in the upcoming season. Since Turner has been repeatedly spotted in Northern Ireland filming battle scene along with Kit Harrington, it is rumored that Sansa will finally meet her step brother Jon Snow early in the season 6 and together the two will seek revenge for Starks and lead a huge battle in the North, Watchers On The Wall reported.
