The Fairfield Police Department and Humane Animal Services of Solano County is looking for a California woman who was caught on surveillance video throwing a dog outside her house.

The video became viral on Facebook, reports KTXL. Sgt. Michael Ramirez from Animal Services says the woman, identified as Brandi Chin, is hiding from authorities. He says Chin was walking down a business district in Fairfield, holding the dog, named Ben, by the tail and swinging it around.

The video on Facebook has almost 40,000 views. It was shot near Texas and Pennsylvania in Fairfield, reports Fox and posted by David Shields on Dec. 29 on his Facebook.

What happened was not the first time she abused Ben. The video was at the house where Chin's boyfriend was staying. Chin hurt the dog after the couple had a heated argument and she vented her anger at Ben, according to the boyfriend's roommate, Candy Seward.

Chin then left immediately with the dog before anyone could take the animal. She is believed to be hiding in Vallejo. Ramirez says that animal cruelty charges would be filed against the woman and the dog would be removed from her. Those who have information about Chin are asked to call Fairfield Police Department at 707-428-7300.
